Actichem Powerstrip is a new generation floor coatings stripper engineered to work quickly and effectively, saving time and money on demanding stripping jobs. It is designed to tackle tough solvent sealers and polish build-ups on resilient flooring such as terracotta, terrazzo, and concrete, delivering serious stripping action on solvent based coatings, burnish build-ups, and semi-permanent sealers.
The formula begins to liquefy coatings immediately on contact with the surface, and minimal scrubbing is required, saving significant time and labour on large floor areas. Powerstrip is also effective for epoxy grout smear removal and fast, effective graffiti removal on many surfaces. A fresh citrus fragrance makes it more pleasant to work with than many traditional strippers.
Powerstrip is safe for use on most resilient floors and is ideal for removing solvent sealers, base sealers, and polish build-ups from natural stone, concrete, and terrazzo. Do not use on wood, vinyl, linoleum, or plastic flooring.
To use, sweep the area thoroughly to remove loose soiling, then apply liberally with a cotton mop, ensuring the surface is thoroughly wet. Work in small, controllable area sizes, allow at least 5 minutes dwell time, then agitate with a low speed rotary scrubber or auto-scrubber fitted with a black, brown, or high productivity pad. Dilute at 1:4 for heavy build-up and UHS burnished coatings, or up to 1:9 for water-based polymer sealers. At 1:4 dilution, a 5 litre pack makes up 20 litres of ready-to-use solution, sufficient to strip approximately 150 to 200m² depending on floor porosity and texture. Always read the SDS and pre-test in an inconspicuous area before use.
