Actichem Biosan II is a hospital grade disinfectant representing a genuine breakthrough in modern cleaning and disinfection technology. It is a single-step, hospital grade disinfectant with outstanding cleaning power, effective against a broad range of pathogenic micro-organisms including viruses, bacteria, fungi, mould, and mildew. It is TGA listed in Australia for its effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus), under AUST L 332364.
Biosan II is a proprietary anti-microbial decontaminant purpose-built for heavy duty restoration situations where bacteria, viruses, spores, moulds, and yeasts are prevalent due to flooding, body fluids, or organic waste. Its biocidal activity is derived from a synergistic combination of two powerful biocides and specific potentiator chemistry, delivering broad and rapid kill against a wide range of micro-organisms. A dynamic wetting agent carries this biocidal blend rapidly and deeply into the affected area, penetrating substantially further into porous substrates, fabrics, and fibres than traditional disinfectants.
It is completely non-toxic and safe for use in food preparation environments, with a neutral pH that makes it safe for carpets, fabrics, and metal surfaces without risk of corrosion or damage. Biosan II leaves a residual active coating that continues protecting against micro-organisms for hours after application, and removes odours at their source through direct anti-microbial action against odour-causing bacteria. It is effective against pathogens including Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), E. coli, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, and Aspergillus Brasiliensis.
To use, add 64ml per litre of clean water (1:16) for positive disinfection, decontamination, and mould remediation, or 16 to 20ml per litre (1:64 to 1:50) for clean surface disinfection and odour control. Apply to a workable area using a sprayer, sponge, or scrubber machine, agitate, and allow 10 minutes dwell time. Rinse with clean water, though at 1:64 dilution rinsing is not required. Pre-cleaning and removal of organic load prior to application will enhance results. Note that Biosan II will affect the stain-resistant treatment on 5th and 6th generation nylon, and should never be mixed with detergents or other chemicals.
