Actichem Brownaway 500mL (AP494 .005)
Actichem Brownaway is an innovative browning remover designed specifically for carpets and upholstery. Its high-activity, low pH formula neutralises and reverses alkaline browning (cellulosic browning) stains, a common rusty, yellow-brown discolouration that occurs when carpets are over-wet, take too long to dry, or are treated with overly alkaline detergents. The same low pH compound blend also tackles water marks, coffee stains, urine stains, and many dye-related stains.
Brownaway draws on advanced technology from the textile industry, including polymers that release discolouration and fine particle stains such as coffee, along with powerful wetting and penetrating agents that treat stains deep within each fibre for effective, lasting removal. A carefully selected blend of low pH salts also neutralises urine crystals, removing both the visible stain and the associated odour. It is fibre safe for use on all natural and synthetic fibres, though fine fabrics should always be pre-tested for colour stability before full application.
This convenient 500mL size comes ready to use with a spray head, making it a practical, portable option for spot treatment work without the commitment of a larger container.
To use, apply Brownaway undiluted for severe contamination, or dilute 1:1 for lesser affected areas and for use on upholstery. Spray onto the fibre or fabric until wetted out, agitate with a carpet rake or upholstery cleaning brush, and allow 10 to 20 minutes reaction time. Rinse extract using Actichem Rinse Pro or an Actichem Emulsifier, then allow to dry, assisting with increased ventilation if needed.
