Agar Acid Wash 5 Litre (AC5)
Agar Acid Wash is a concentrated, acid-based cleaner formulated for dissolving rust, scale, and lime build-up on a wide range of hard surfaces. Built-in detergent also removes oil contamination from treated surfaces, giving it dual cleaning and descaling power in one product. It is very concentrated and economical to use, does not give off corrosive fumes, and is non-corrosive to stainless steel.
Acid Wash is a powerful deruster and descaler, ideal for descaling dishwashing machines, hot water urns, and other commercial equipment, and is suitable as an acid CIP (Clean-In-Place) cleaner for food processing equipment. It also performs well removing excess grout or mortar residue from new ceramic tile and brick installations.
For descaling dishwashing machines, switch off the detergent dispenser, close the drain valve, and fill the wash tank with water. Add 350ml for single stage or small machines, or 1 to 2 litres for large machines. Start the machine and recirculate the solution until visible scale build-up is removed. If any scale sits above the water line, scrub these areas directly using a wash-tank solution of Acid Wash. Gloves and safety glasses must be worn during use.
This product is a Class 8 corrosive substance (UN 3264). Always read and understand the SDS before use, and store away from bases, amines, and reactive metals such as zinc, tin, and aluminium.
