Glazer is one of the most wear-resistant polyurethane fortified sealer finishes in the Research Products range, with great resistance to marking and scuffing. It is perfect for use in all heavy traffic areas such as shopping malls, railway stations, hospitals, nursing homes, and office buildings, making it a genuine workhorse finish for high-footfall commercial floors.
Glazer is an ideal sealer finish for vinyl floors in mop and re-coat applications, and also works as a sacrificial coating for timber floors already coated with urethane-based or oil-based finishes. It is suitable for all resilient floors including vinyl tiles, vinyl asbestos tiles, rubber, composite rubber, and linoleum, as well as most hard floors such as marble, slate, and terrazzo. Some hard-glazed quarry tiles and glazed ceramic tiles are unsuited to Glazer due to their lack of porosity, so surface type should be confirmed before application.
Using Research Products' water-borne fortified polyurethane technology, Glazer delivers a longer wearing, tougher, and more easily maintained floor finish than previously possible, with less scuffing and marking under repeated buffing. It is U.H.S. safe and works with any type of maintenance equipment, including regular speed machines and up to 2000 RPM electric, LP gas, or battery-powered burnishers. The polyurethane film layer is thermo-elastic and softens under the heat generated by super-speed burnishing, allowing it to buff repeatedly to a clean, shiny finish day after day, even under extreme traffic conditions.
