Actichem Deosan 5 Litre (AP433.05)
Actichem Deosan is an anti-microbial odour neutraliser designed to combat severe mal-odours caused by organic waste, urine, faeces, sewage, pets, flooding, and fire damage. It uses a synergistic combination of powerful biocides and advanced odour-neutralising chemistry to destroy odour-causing bacteria while simultaneously encapsulating and neutralising airborne mal-odours, delivering a genuine two-pronged solution rather than simply masking smells.
Deosan is highly effective against fire damage odours and destroys mould and mildew spores through its powerful biocidal activity. It is suitable for use on wool, synthetic fabrics, and carpet, as well as hard surfaces including concrete, plasterboard, wood, tiles, and grout, making it a versatile choice across a wide range of restoration and cleaning scenarios. Note that Deosan may affect stain-resistant treatments on nylon carpets, though carpets already severely soiled by organic contaminants will typically have already lost much of that treatment.
To use, mix 50 to 100ml of Deosan per litre of water and apply directly onto the odour source, allowing 10 minutes reaction time before further cleaning or rinsing. Deosan can be applied before cleaning, after cleaning, or both, and where large amounts of organic matter are present, treatment should always follow the removal of bulk soiling even if the area was treated beforehand. For large areas, a 1:100 solution can be prepared as a light post spray. Always ensure Deosan makes direct physical contact with the odour source, pre-test on an inconspicuous area first, and do not mix with any other cleaning solution.
